Inclusion Officer/Admin Assistant - Robyn Ward
The Inclusions/Admin Officer is responsible for providing pencils and tea, milk and biscuits for the break at rehearsals, and providing the refreshments for concerts (wine, juice, biscuits, etc.). They support other committee members when necessary. Their role is also one of inclusion, so they are the point of contact for anyone in the society who feels they may need some extra support or arrangements made.
Robyn is a first soprano, currently in the Masters year of an MEng Materials Science and Engineering course.
Please contact Robyn if you have any access requirements for SingSoc rehearsals, socials or concerts (e.g. large print music scores, music stands for concerts, etc).
A bit about me...
I have been playing violin since age 7 and singing since age 9 both as part of orchestras/ensembles and solo. I really enjoy making music and during my time in Japan I also came to love karaoke. I have been a member of SingSoc since 2009. Since 2010 I have been working as a teaching assistant with 11-18 year olds with various learning/behavioural difficulties. While it can be challenging it is also very rewarding to help people overcome difficulties. I lived and worked in Japan (Osaka/Nagoya) from 2011-12 and I enjoy speaking and learning Japanese.I have also lived briefly in Ireland and South Korea.
