Associate Conductor - Harriet Johnson
Harriet has been conducting the Small Groups Choirs (Ladies Choir and Socii Cantorum) since 2006. Although she is no longer working with us full time, she still holds a very important role in our society as an Associate Conductor. As part of this role she directs our tour choir, who are this year traveling to Italy.
Harriet Johnson is a musician, voice specialist and music educator. She works extensively with singers, choral societies and educators as a prime advocator of vocal health and safe singing. As an active member of the British Voice Association, Harriet continues her own development as a singer and singing teacher, specialising in anatomy and physiology of the voice. She attends regular courses and conferences at The Royal Academy of Music in London to ensure that she is up-to-date with the latest research, information and training related to the voice.
